Endless road trips to LA with Patty. Helping Peter and Patty move was always fun though. Pea Soup Anderson's was always a good stop!
I remember going to a popup fair in Oakland with Jerry Blue. Patty had just done a chemo treatment and she was pushing her limits here but she knew how to have fun and wouldn't let the chemo hold her back.
In our new house. There was only one previous owner and they took very good care of the house so it had a pristine 50s looking kitchen.
Chen-Wei loved Greek food and could also make amazing Loukoumades. Photo taken at a Greek festival somewhere in California.
With Patty's close friends Jerry Blue and Erik Gergis.
I took this picture right after we signed the paperwork on our first home in Oakland, CA.
Posing during one of our many walks on the beach with little Zahra.
Chen-Wei had long elaborate dreams. Whenever she would start recounting her dreams I'd have to make coffee and sit down because I knew it would go on for a while. She remembered so much detail. She saw her first film in a dream and with zero experience in film making managed to put together a cast and crew and direct a feature length film. This picture was taken at an interesting location. The town of Locke, California is a ghost town that was build exclusively by the Chinese for the Chinese (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locke,_California). Chinese identity was always a central theme in her films. Locke was where we shot some of the more abstract dream sequences on super 8. Chen-Wei had a real talent for dream . . .
